Eileen passed peacefully in her 85th year. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Eileen is now reunited with her husband, Ronald (February 1987). Eileen leaves behind her children Yvonne, Glenn and Eileen’s daughter-in-law Virginia, Craig, her grandchildren Maclennan and Claire, her brother Alan and his family, Maxine, Callum, Catriona, Emma and Tanya, her in-laws Douglas and Annegret and their family, Nils, Fiona and Sylvia. Eileen will be fondly remembered by her extended family in Scotland and friends in Canada including those relationships established through Ryerson United Church in Ancaster and the Royal Botanical Gardens in Hamilton.
At Eileen’s request, there will be no visitation with a private interment at Grove Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to extend its gratitude to all the staff at West Oak Village, particularly those in Howell House, who provided such compassionate care to Eileen.
