It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Ernest Ellis, at home on Sunday, March 2, 2014 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Alice for over 61 years. Loving father of Ione Hayes (Gary), and Barbara Martin (Stephen). Devoted grandfather of Amy (Nick), Erin (Jack), Colin and Jordan. Cherished great grandfather of Layla. Ernest was an employee of International Harvester for over 33 years, a member of Waterdown Lodge #357 A.F. & A.M., a member of the Scottish Rite, and a devoted member of Westover Baptist Church. A special thank you to Mui and Lily from Bayshore Nursing. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “SWACKHAMER CHAPEL”, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. With a Masonic Service to take place at 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 7, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Westover Baptist Church would be appreciated.
