OBITUARY
Heather Langdon
July 16, 1962 – February 17, 2021
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Heather Langdon on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 at the age of 58. Please take comfort in knowing that Heather was surrounded by her three loving daughters at the time of her passing. Cherished Mum of Alaina Langdon, Katie Langdon and Chelsea Bartman-Sawatzky. Proud Gigi of Henry Stadnyk, Jack Langdon-Lummiss, Lyla Langdon-Lummiss & Quinn Bartman-Sammut. Dear sister of Susan Currie, John Currie & Kenneth Currie. Heather will be greatly missed by her dear friends near and far, her nieces and nephews, and her family in Scotland.
Through the Trillium Gift of Life Network, Heather was able to fulfill her wish of organ donation and successfully extended the life of two grateful recipients. Cremation has taken place and an interment at the Springcreek Cemetery in Mississauga will be held at a later date, followed by a celebration of her life. If so desired, donations in memory of Heather Langdon to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

I met Heather at the Bluff Oyster/Seafood Festival several years ago...she gifted me her cap which I looked “hot” wearing...I am proud to have known Heather for just one day. She made a difference xx

When Heather was preparing to leave Queenstown NZ, she invited me over to her place where she had sorted through a pile of clothes and treasures for me. She had purple butterfly fairy lights for my daughter and some clothes, shoes, scarves and costume jewelry for me. Most of her clothes didn't fit me as I am a larger frame, I was feeling down about my size and rather unattractive. Heather gave me a heartfelt 'talking to' about true inner beauty and how I should be proud of my swimmers shoulders (which she wished she'd had). And not to worry about my wobbly bits. She boosted my confidence at a time it was badly needed. Whenever we met we got on really well, she had a great sense of humour and a lovely sharp wit. I am truly sorry to hear she has passed on. Heather spoke often of her family and was so looking forward to be with you all. Much love to you all at this sad time x. Krista Queenstown NZ

News of Heather’s passing has taken awhile to sink in. I’ve known Heather for over 3 decades and always been impressed with her kindness and her free spirit. I always enjoyed our conversations and I always walked away a better person for them. My heart is broken for her daughters and grandchildren. Heather was truly a beautiful soul inside and out. Her eyes sparkled with love and excitement. I will truly miss her💔

I met Heather in 2007 when I joined the Connectabus team in accounts. My desk and Heather’s were touching facing each other and from there a wonderful friendship started. Heather was caring, fun to be with and very supportive when friends needed her most. She shared the joy of the arrival of her beautiful grandchildren and her love and pride for her three girls. I am heartbroken that such a special lady is gone too soon. My love and sincere condolences to you her family at this time. May you find comfort in knowing Heather was much loved in New Zealand too and the many happy memories she left will be with us always.

Heather was my mate and we shared many happy times together in Queenstown. I so missed her when she left NZ and the plan was to catchup somewhere in the world two years later. It never happened and now, never will. It’s hard to believe that she is now gone. I guess it’s a lesson for us all that we need to live for today and not put off to tomorrow what could and should be done today. Rest in dear friend xx

The word of your passing was so hard to hear. You were such a lively and dedicated co-worker and friend. You always said good morning with a smile 😊. You were taken too early and will be missed dearly. I’m sure God has a plan for you, so take charge as you’ve always done with any task at hand and always know, hopefully someday we will all meet again. My deepest condolences to your family!

I was very sad to hear about the passing of Heather. She taught me the ropes of Canadian Tire, and I couldn't have asked for a better, nicer, and more respectful supervisor. The store won't be the same without her and her knowledge. My condolences go out to the family of Heather.

Heather,
Your friendship meant so much to me... your warmth, infectious personality, your laugh, your wisdom and openness. You were there for me when the seas were rough and you shared my great news with joy. Part of your heart remains here in Queenstown always. I love you my big "sister".
Katie, Alaina & Chelsea, your Mum adored you and your children deeply. She gave me reason to admire you all through her stories, and I look forward to coming to Canada one day to see you, and fulfill your Mum's promise to take me ice pole fishing one day,
All my love from NZ, Teresa xxx

I met Heather thru a mutual friend (Linda Hillman) and have fond memories of the times we met in person. I remember her as a vibrant, decisive person. I know she has been a wonderful friend to my friend and I was able to follow her life progress thru Linda. I also know how fond and proud she was of her Girls and Grand Children.
You will be missed Heather.

Words cannot truly express the sorrow of losing my dear friend. Together we laughed and learned many life lessons, shared so many great adventures, leaned on each other during our challenges and celebrated so many of life’s joys. Most of all, I am grateful to have been welcomed into Heather’s circle of strong, passionate friends and family.
Heather and I had always planned to spend a volunteer work day at the Happily Ever Esther Sanctuary, and so a donation has been made to them in her honour to help fulfill that wish.
HLB – my heart aches, but I will take comfort in our memories, in your love, and in knowing that your sparkling spirit lives on in your amazing family. LSH ❤️
