Always had a smile and hello everytime I ran into him around town. Great guy missed and rememberd by all of us.R.I.P.

My condolences to his family. Always had a smile and hello whenever I met him around town. Will always be loved and remembered by all of us. 


I was very sad to hear today that Jim has passed. My deepest condolences to Bob, Bev and Margaret Lynn and to Jim’s children and grandchildren. 

Jim and I became friends when we were both 9 years old attending a “grasshopper league” baseball year-end gathering/barbeque in the Dundas Park. Jim was on the Bisons team and I was on the Jets. We missed out on the baseball gathering because we noticed there was a large religious group in the park handing out ice cream. Jim and I along with another player Joe McDonald thought we could get a free ice cream sundae without anyone knowing we weren’t part of the group. Unfortunately our uniforms gave us away. (so much for 9 year-old strategic thinking) We were told that if we accepted the ice cream we would have to stay and listen to a sermon. We chose the ice cream and didn’t realize the sermon would go on for over an hour. That was how our friendship began. I can’t count the number of times I knocked on Jim’s door over the years to come out to play road hockey or just hang out. I was often treated those times to a delicious grilled cheese sandwich prepared by Jim’s mom Mrs. Drummond.

Jim always had a warm smile and a great laugh - I never heard him speak badly of anyone. I haven’t spoken to Jim for many years but he was the childhood and lifelong friend I will always remember. He gave me the gift of many wonderful memories.

Farewell Jim



I worked with Jim at ElMet parts for five years in the 80,s.We had lots of fun  golfing and tipping a few pints on our days off work.I last saw Jim at the Cactus in Dundas about a year and a half ago after about 33 years.We continued where we left off tipping a pint.We could have talked for hours.Until we meet again my friend .RIP Jimmy Drummond.

Dear Wendy , Dawn and family . 
What a fighter Jimmy was when he had the strong desire to be with his beloved Sue .
Oh ,those smiles when he spoke of you all with such pride and love.

We shared a wonderful fun time in New York ,and Laughed our way visiting all the tourist spots that he and Sue had seen on T.V , crazy  but wonderful to recall .   Not one place could be missed .

My thoughts are of you ,may you find comfort in happy memories.
