
Suddenly on July 27, 2012, Jason Ryan Leroux, age 39, passed away in Columbia, Maryland. Jason was the beloved only son of Lionel (Janet) and Debra (Kevin) and devoted and loving father to only child Chloe. Also mourning his passing are wife Erin, sister Melissa Aimee, cherished companions Monica and her daughter Heidi. Jason also leaves his grandmothers Rose and Ruth, step-sister Renee (John), uncles David, Darwin (Chris), and Allan (Sandy), aunts Dale (Scott) and Donna as well as many cousins and a host of friends.
As a boy, Jason played hockey from the time he was five years old in both Ancaster and Burlington and as a teenager added snowboarding to his list of pastimes. He picked up a guitar as a teenager and formed a number of successful teen bands. He was an avid “gamer” and will be missed by his many friends as well as his opponents. Jason was a graduate of Conestoga College in Kitchener where he made many friends.
A memorial service will be held at Marlatt Funeral Home in Dundas, Ontario on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 11a.m. According to Jason’s wishes, cremation will have taken place. A private family graveside service will be held later in the month. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Epilepsy Canada, Epilepsy Ontario or the Canadian Epilepsy Alliance in memory of a dearly loved young man.
One of the life’s greatest joys is to welcome your son into the world; one of its greatest sorrows is to let him leave the world before you.
