Very Sad to know passing of Jim. He had been very calm and cheerful colleague. Our heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the Wiebe family.  I worked with Jim at Hatch for many years.  He was one of the nicest, friendliest and competent engineers I have known. We wrote an operating manual together in my younger days and I was privileged to go to site and run the client through it with Jim's support. One of the best experiences in my life! Thank you Jim.

It was an honor to serve on boards and committees with Jim for many years and to know him as a dear friend and brother in Christ.  Praying that God will hold you close, gently ease your sorrow, heal you heart and give strength for every new tomorrow.

When I think of Jim, I think of his servant heart. I have known Jim for over fifty years. Throughout his life he demonstrated a spirit of compassion and humility and service. I had the privilege of serving with him on various committees and boards. He gave excellent leadership. He came up with many ideas and proposals. But he would not push his ideas as if he knew better than anyone else. He always listened for the response and input of the group. He was willing to go the second mile in service. What a loyal servant of the Lord and of the church he was. His spirit of loving, compassionate, humble, wise service is the legacy he left to me and to the church. On top of that he was a dear friend, whom I will always cherish.

My deepest sympathies and condolences for your loss. Jim was a joy to be around at Ressam Gardens. He was always willing to help me set up chairs for my activities. Always responding to my good mornings with his best smile. He wore his heart on his sleeve and everyone could tell how much he loved his wife, with how he talked about her.

I was honored to have Jim as a friend and co-labourer for Christ.  Jim loved Christ his family and the church.  I appreciated his support and wise counsel.  My deepest sympathies to Mar g and the family.

When, as a young girl,  I was looking for a bedside shelf as a Christmas present for my brother Scott, Jim very kindly made a wooden shelf that was absolutely perfect and beautifully made.  Jim was kind, thoughtful, talented and generous with his time.  He was a good role model and appreciated by the whole Swing family.  May positive memories ease your sorrow.

Jim was a wonderful man always there to lend a helping hand, Jim and marg were the first neighbours we met when my family moved to Dundas in 1978, welcomed us to the neighbour hood and  their boys Charles and Todd went to school since kindergarten up to high school with my children,  George and Kerrie,  Watson.  Many a day they were at my house or my son with them, The boys were great friends. For many years,. Jim will be dearly missed may he rest in peace. My heart goes out to their family’s. God Bless.

Last visit with Jim and Marg - they stopped in at the Camrose Church of God on a weekday just to say hi. Such a warm, albeit brief, and enjoyable meeting. As a child I remember looking up to Jim as this energetic and very intelligent engineer, hunter, outdoorsman, and most of all a committed Jesus follower.  Thanks for your exemplary life, Jim!

Hello Jane, Ken and families. Many fond memories of Jim spending time on our farm. He and my late older brother Wayne were very good friends. I remember them hunting in our bush, fishing and camping. You will have many fond memories of your dear brother. May Jim rest in peace and rise in glory.

I remember growing up in the old neighborhood with Todd and Charles, and when ever I was there Jim was always a kind and considerate person.  I still remember the very first baseball game that he took me to with Tood. He will be surely missed..

Margaret,  I'm so glad you brought Jim to Iowa so I could meet him. He was a delight and so interested in our family and state history.  I'm sorry that his last years were a struggle.  My thoughts will be with you in the coming months.  May Jesus be with you!  An Iowa cousin.

Uncle Jim was an inspiration to me. If it wasn’t for him encouraging me to go to University I may never have gone. I will always forever and fondly remember him.

Jim was instrumental in Rachel going to university. I’ll always be grateful for his positive influence on her as that changed the trajectory of her life. Thank you, Jim.
