John Herbert Droogendyk

For the last years of his life he was hindered by physical weakness, but his mind remained clear. We now grieve, but also have joy knowing that he will forever praise his Saviour and Lord. “Behold, I make all things new.” Revelation 21:5.

Predeceased by his wife Mary on May 14, 2021. Dear father of Matthew and Krista Droogendyk and grandfather of Zachary, Evan, Bethany, Kaiden, Austin and Liam. He was predeceased by his son Alan on October 14, 1978.

A brother to Herb and Michelle Droogendyk, Bill and Wilma Droogendyk. Brother-in-law to Mary Droogendyk, Jerry and Trudy Hamstra, John and Rita Wilbrink, Marina Wilbrink, Rick and Joyce Zwiep and predeceased by siblings Arie Droogendyk, Corrie and Bob Leegstra.

Visitation will be held Monday July 3 at the Ebenezer Free Reformed Church, 253 Weir’s Lane, Dundas, from 2:30pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 4 at 10am at the Ebenezer Free Reformed Church, with interment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Copetown.
