Klaudia Radigan (nee Hauslbauer)

November 2, 1965February 18, 2020

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a loving wife, a beloved mother, and a wonderful friend ‘Klaudia Radigan’ in her 55th year on Tuesday February 18, 2020. She is survived by her husband Paul, son Valentin, and daughter Claudine. Loving sister to Monika Prager (Christian), Richard Hauslbauer (Anja), and Birgit Hegen (Andreas). She will be dearly missed by extended family members, friends and many members of the community.

Throughout her life, in Germany and Canada, Klaudia touched the lives of many people. After college graduation in Germany, Klaudia worked in downtown Munich for many years in the food industry. Shortly after arriving in Canada, she met her future husband Paul, worked as a model and settled down for a wonderful life in Dundas. An avid gardener who loved growing her own food, Klaudia was a wonderful chef who loved nothing better than spending time with family and friends. She was active in the Dundas community, and tirelessly helped to advance the lives and activities of children with special needs.

Family and friends are welcome to visitation at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME – SWACKHAMER CHAPEL, 195 King St. West, Dundas, on Monday, February 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine’s Parish, 58 Sydenham St., Dundas on Tuesday, February 25th at 11am with interment to follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery, Dundas. In lieu of flowers, Klaudia would wish the giving of love and support to children with special needs.

I was dismayed when I heard of the sudden death of my childhood friend Klaudia.
In the time of growing up, we were allowed to
accompanied, philosophized about God and the world, did many things together, had fun, went dancing... just all the beautiful things that young girls just share with each other. Even then, her thoughtful manner, her global thinking, her empathy for all others and an affinity for healthy eating were outstanding.
She had a wonderful charisma, I would say that Klaudia could speak with the heart. She just shone from the inside out. She had her goals and pursued them. I think it is a great pity that we have lost sight of each other in recent years, but I am very grateful for our wonderful time together. Her love is immortal and she lives on in her children. God protect Paul, Paul Valentine and Klaudine. Your wife and mom is now an angel.
In deep connection in this unspeakably difficult time

It is quite beyond my comprehension at this time to think of a world without Klaudia standing in compassion and love for her family, ready to defend and protect in any way necessary. Her love, strength and convictions were gifts to behold.

Klaudia's knowledge and expressions of healthy eating, living and exuberance often left me in a warm glow for having spent time with her. Her joy and willingness to share her time, experiences and expertise helped her shine all the more.

My heart goes out to Paul, Paul Valentin and sweet Claudine. All I can do is send love and light to all her family and friends in this extreme time of loss.

It is as yet impossible for me to imagine the Radigan family without its great centre...as has been said...loving wife , mother and friend. Klaudia radiated strength, conviction and elegance. Her generosity to our class and the school at large on behalf of her determination to prove that nutritious food was also delicious made her a standout...years ahead of her time.

Klaudia was so sincere, concerned and devoted to all her causes, none larger than to Paul, Paul Valentin and the lovely Claudine. My heartfelt wishes to them all in her memory.

I was deeply saddened and shocked to learn of Klaudia's death. I have known her for years, since meeting her and young Paul at the Early Years centre in Dundas. Our paths have crossed over the years, as she and Claudine used to attend our Play and Learn group at St. Jame's church, and I used to go to the Dundas Museum where she volunteered in their playgroup. I learned what a fierce defender she was for her children, and admired her dedication to her family. We often had conversations about kids, her garden, health supplements( such as bee pollen), and just general topics surrounding life in Dundas. I have not seen her since I moved up north a couple of years ago, but I have great memories of our meetings, the best of which was she always had a hug for me when she saw me! Klaudia was a force to be reckoned with, especially when it came to family matters, but she had a good heart, and I will always remember her kindness.❤️

The Dundas Museum & Archives was a recipient of Klaudia's passion for gardening. Her and Claudine were ever-present 'playing in the dirt'. RIP.

Klaudia and Claudine have been dear friends of the Greensville Library since Claudine was little. Rarely have I seen such a devoted mother to both her children. The bond that she had with her daughter was fierce, Klaudia would literally do anything for her. I came to love them both very much. God bless and keep you Klaudia .

I first met Klaudia approximately ten years ago at church. The family would come upstairs to sit in the choir loft to listen to mass and the music, I think most especially for little Claudine who loved to hear the pipe organ and our voices meld together, and was probably only a couple years old at the time. We soon connected and started chatting about stuff that moms do. She shared amazing insight about her perspective on the local schools (through her experiences with Paul Valentin) and encouraged/enlightened me to explore more than just one assumed school for enrollment. It was because of her guidance that we chose the current school our daughter is in and I am forever grateful to her for opening my eyes to make inclusive decisions for my kid's education. Interview them - the schools, the teachers, she said - it's the most important job you'll ever hire for.
We remained connected through the years, every time I would see her and Claudine at school, the conversation would always start and end with a hug. She exuded love, kindness, and consideration and you can see these qualities strong in her children.
May God be with you now Paul, Paul Valentin, and Claudine, and give you strength through these difficult times. May angels comfort you in your sadness and may you find peace.
I am so very sorry for your wife and mom's passing and will keep you and your entire extended family in my prayers. Her legacy of love, wisdom, and sincerity will always be cherished and never, ever forgotten.
