Knud Eric Frandsen

Predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Susan (2023). Father of Kristine Frandsen (Shaun), Michelle McCartan (Keith) and Stephanie Smith (Kevin). Cherished grandfather to Holli McKnight, Sean McCartan, and Sarah McCartan. Brother to Ken and Steve. Uncle to many nieces and nephews; and friend to everyone he met.

A kind and caring human who was always willing to help others. Born in Nakskov Denmark, emigrated as a child to California then to Canada where he had a long career at NCR spanning almost 40 years, initially servicing cash registers across Hamilton to project manager for Ontario. With a passion for history, he could recall infinite details of numerous world and wartime events. We will miss hearing your stories. Farewell Dad, Pappa, ‘Colonel’.

Thank you to all the physicians, nurses, and specialists who cared for Eric on E3. Special thanks to the Thrombosis team at Juravinski for many years of care; to cardiologist Dr. Greg Curnew and to Dr. Carol Gideon.

A Celebration of life will be held on January 21, 2024, from 1-4 pm at the Dundas Museum and Archives, 139 Park St. West, Dundas ON.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be donated to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation.
