Bye Lanny, best of luck in your continuing travels to who knows where. My memories of you go back to the 50's and 60's. You were such a happy person and always so thoughful and kind. Lanny has always been a part of our family and our best friend forever. I can't remember a time when he wasn't in our lives. From the fearless teenager to the heart sick boy who wanted to date Sharon. We have shared his life in so many ways that it is impossible to say goodbye to him.
We spent many Christmas Eve's together, fixing toys and playing with them. Sharon and I wrapped presents while sipping wine into the wee hours of the morning..
When Dick decided to start racing Lanny was there for us again. Building motors and supporting us in every way possible. Lanny or THE DOCTOR as he was called whenever there was a problem with the car. 
The stories could go on forever. I will miss his wit and charm and most of all I will miss him terribly. My heart is breaking for Sharron and the family. I will pray for all of his family in this time of great loss.

Dear Sharon and family,

Lanny is part of my earliest memories.  Visiting the Coopers on Turnball Road, playing with "Blondie" as the cousins can and went. I remember well when Lanny brought his new Mustang to show his Uncle John and Aunt Ethel (my grandparents).  How we loved him and his new car. It impacted me because I have always longed for that model car and have been fortunate enough to have one.

 He always made us laugh and was so warm and friendly.  I remember how happy our family was when he and Sharon married because Sharon was a perfect fit. And then came the excitment of the twins and then.. the twins!! My Grandmother proudly showed everyone who visited the newspaper clipping about this amazing family.
  Years later when we moved to Hamilton, Lanny referred friends and family to our business.  He was a great advocate!
Our prayers and sympathy are with you all. You were blessed to have Lanny as a husband, father and grandfather.  His memory will live on through you.
