At St. Peter’s Hospital, Hamilton on Friday October 15, 2010 in his 80th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Dora who passed away July, 2010. Dear father of Don (Melanie) and David (Gail). Proud grandfather of David, Joshua (Crystal), Nick, Adam, Michael, Jay and Samantha. Loving great-grandfather of Madison and Owen. Brother to Don (the late Jean), Bill (Linda) both of British Columbia and Betty (the late Bob) of Galt. Lawrance will also be missed by the many members of his extended family and his friends who have been so caring and supportive throughout his life. Lawrance “Larry” was a public school Principal in Oshawa and Dundas for many years, finishing his teaching career as Principal of a unit of six country schools: Millgrove, Bowman, Strabane, Glenwood, Brockview and Beachgrove. He spent the next eleven years working in Mills Library at McMaster University before retiring in 1990. Thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Peter’s Hospital. A special thank you to Dr. Bev. Friends and relatives will be received at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME 195 King Street West, Dundas on Wednesday October 20, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Marlatt Dundas Chapel on Thursday October 21, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment Grove Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Peter’s Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
