In control, as always, Lillian peacefully and with dignity died in the embrace of her children on Thursday, July 21, 2011. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Russell (2008) and her grandson Jamie (1983). She leaves to celebrate her full, courageous life, children: Derek (Ginny), Bruce (Carol), Roderick (Susan), Sharon (Rick), Janet (Alan); grandchildren: David, Charles, Kelly, Nathan, Scott, Samuel, Matthew, Zachary, Erin, Andrew, and great-grandchildren: Mia, Lucas and Izabelle. Lillian was a charter member of Melrose United Church and an active member of the Ontario Geneological Society, The Head-Of-The-Lake Historical Association and the Post-Polio Association. A Service to celebrate her life and faith will be held at Melrose United Church, 86 Homewood Avenue, on Monday, July 25th at 1:00 p.m. Visitation one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, we would be grateful for gifts in Lillian's memory, to Melrose United Church. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Marlatt Funeral Home, Dundas.
