Maria Andrea Cichra

Andrea passed away peacefully into the hands of God on Monday January 14, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Villa. She was the beloved wife of Miroslav “Michael” Cichra. Andrea was born in Austria and spent over 30 years as a Nurse in Austria, Switzerland, Toronto, and here in Hamilton, Ontario. Andrea will be greatly missed by many friends, her nephews and nieces in Austria and Czechloslovakia, and her beloved Godchildren John Mathew, Andrea Mathew, Christine Chan, and Anthony Chan. Special thanks to the staff of Bob Kemp Hospice, St. Joseph Villa Tulip Garden, and Senior For Senior services, especially Mary Anne Filipovic of Senior for Senior for her incredible kindness, and Dr. Ayeni from St. Joseph’s Villa for his compassion.

Friends may come to the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “SWACKHAMER CHAPEL” 195 King Street West, Dundas on Tuesday, January 15th from 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 16th at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Burlington.
