WELTON, Marion Irene Passed away peacefully on Oct. 17th at Wentworth Lodge in her 86th year.

Predeceased by her husband, Charles, she will be missed by her children: John (Lisa), Stephen and Kelly. Proud “Muv” to Benjamin, Samuel (Lindsey), Torrey, Charles, Arden and Nigel; and great-grandmother to Scarlett.

Marion spent her childhood between Wales and the Isle of Man, and met her husband, Charles, while working at the DeHavilland Aircraft plant in England. They emigrated to Canada in 1958 and settled in Hamilton. Resuming her career when the children were in full-time school, she went to work at McMaster University where she was well known and highly regarded and became a well-loved supervisor of the Registrar’s Office for 25 years. Following her retirement in 1989, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, often taking them on walks in the woods to experience nature and the outdoors. Until recently, she enjoyed annual vacations on her beloved Isle of Man. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at both Shalom Village and Wentworth Lodge for their wonderful care. Donations in Marion’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday November 10th at 1pm at the Royal Botanical Gardens, 680 Plains Road West, Burlington.

My condolences to the family of Marion. I will always remember those days I worked in the unit she was staying in Wentworth Lodge and we used to sing together the song "Close to you " by the Carpenters and then we also dance her favorite Dancing Queen song.

She was very jolly, good sense of humor, and very fun to be with. She sing and dance very well and it saddened me when I learned she's gone because we lost such a good resident. I will always remember her especially when I worked in her unit. I dont have a partner in singing and dancing in there anymore but I will always treasure those nice memories with her.

Have a peaceful journey to heaven Marion and my sincere condolence again to Marion's family.
