Mary Malone Stout

A kind, gentle soul with untiring perseverance, Mary courageously raised four children on her own after the untimely death of her husband Grant Stout in 1973. Predeceased by her son Barry (d.2016), she is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Bill d.2020) and Robin (Dave), her son Tim; her grandchildren Griffin, Tanner, Martha and Alex, her sister, Kay (Art) Castledine, daughter-in-law Nadine Martin Stout, brother-in-law Bernie Stout and nieces and nephews.

Mary loved to walk. This passion led her through many neighbourhoods of Dundas, and then Ancaster, with a friendly nod and good morning to all passers-by. The odd time her walks would take her past an ice cream stand where she would partake in another passion of hers, an ice cream cone.

A Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held in the Family Centre next door to the Marlatt Funeral Home, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Saturday, September 10th from 11am-2pm.
