Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Bob Kemp Hospice on March 17th in her 52nd year. Beloved wife of Christopher Andrew Holmes for 29 years. Loving and proud mother of Jacob and Maxwell. Loyal daughter of Janet Pheobe (nee Hudson) and the late Ross David McVea. Faithful sister of Joel and Linda McVea (nee Ciccarelli), John and Tracy. Loving aunt of Heather, Joshua (Bronte Weatherhead), Bobby, and Brett.
Michele was a devoted wife and mother, passionate hockey Mom, and loyal friend and colleague. She was known as “Mama Bear” in her sons’ hockey community. Michele was continuously selfless and generously kind. She could light up a room with her happiness. She was quick witted and insightful, always ready to give support and guidance to those she loved. Michele was the “glue” that held her family and friends together. Her genuine, trustworthy and dependable ways garnered great respect from all who knew her. Michele will be lovingly remembered by those whose lives she touched.
Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME “Swackhamer Chapel”, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Sunday, March 24th from 11-1pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 1pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.
