Of Dundas, peacefully with family at her side, passed away, on Friday, February 28 2014, at St. Joseph's Hospital Hamilton, in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of John Earl Smith (predeceased). Loving mother of Judy Murie, Linda Spratt (Noel, deceased), Joanne Madsen (Arne). Cherished Grandmother of Brent, Krista, Michael, Jonathan, Peder, and Kristina, along with their spouses. Dear Great-Grandmother of Lucas, Logan, Carley, Redis, Charlie, Henry, Max and Olivia. Graduated from Hamilton General School of Nursing in 1945. Dedicated nurse and nursing supervisor at the Henderson General Hospital in Hamilton, retiring at the age of 65 years. Friends and relatives will be received on Monday, March 10th from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 11th from 1-2 p.m. Service at 2 p.m. followed immediately by a reception. All to be held at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME, "SWACKHAMER CHAPEL", 195 King Street West, Dundas. Interment has already taken place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
