Robert Reeves

Passed away on 15 February 2012, in his 84th year with his children by his side. Dearly loved husband of Barbara (passed away 12 February 2008, and now together for their 57th Wedding Anniversary on 19 February). Cherished father of Elizabeth and Douglas. Also missed by his treasured dog, Bettina. Predeceased by his parents, Stewart and Helen Reeves, and brother, Donald. Dad’s gentle, kind nature and quick wit touched so many. Some of his most rewarding work was serving customers in Reeves’ Hardware Store. His compassion for people, animals, nature and his ability to find beauty in life’s simple things will always be remembered. With his love of water, he will continue to guide us as our lighthouse beacon. The support and love of Dad’s neighbours and friends will never be forgotten. A special thank you to Sandy Blackadar and the staff and residents of Blackadar Continuing Care Centre for their outstanding care and friendship. Also, with much appreciation to Dr. K. Shankardass, Dr. M. West, Dr. C. Day and staff. A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Monday, 12 March 2012, at 3:00 p.m., in the Great Hall of the University Club of McMaster University. Cremation has taken place. Interment White Chapel Memorial Gardens. If desired, donations in memory of Bob to the McMaster Campus Ministries Council (905-525-9140, Ext 24207) or the S.P.C.A. would be deeply appreciated by the family.
