Rev. Canon Ruth Jefferson was a lovely, perceptive Christian woman and while she was program director at the Niagara Diocesan office she oversaw youth ministry. She recruited me for the diocesan youth ministry committee when Rev David Hamid was the chair and this lead to involvement at the national level with the Anglican Youth Movement in the early 1980s. I am so thankful for those opportunities which have helped shape my Christian faith and participation in the Anglican Church of Canada over the years, thanks to Ruth's invitation. May she rest in peace. Well-done, good and faithful servant.

We express Sincere Condolences to the Jefferson family. Ruth and Helen Norman were very good friends for many years. More recently Helen lived in Bertram Place -- next door to Ruth -- until she passed away on 2020.11.07, aged 90. I am Helen’s sister in Toronto. My husband and I have known Ruth since the days of her husband Phillip. We enjoyed Ruth’s 90th birthday party and often took both Ruth and Helen out to lunch on their birthdays. Ruth will be long remembered.

Ruth is very kind and thoughtful. Despite her poor eyesight, she wrote me a sympathy card after my husband passed away. She will be missed by many people.
Rest in pease.
My condolences to her family.
