Ruth I. Orr

ORR, Ruth Isobel Passed into the arms of our Lord surrounded by her family at McMaster Hospital on August 8, 2010, in her ninety-sixth year. Loving wife of James Orr for sixty-five years. Precious mother of Patricia Webster (Raymond Semkin), Wendy Beck (Rick), and David Orr (Claire). Ruth will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Kody, Catherine, and Julie. Dear sister of Margaret Binswanger (James). Predeceased by parents Alice and John Allan, and brother Donald. Ruth began her teaching career in 1934 in Long Branch, Ontario and would subsequently teach at Central Park School in Dundas. Special thanks to the McMaster Hospital Cardiac Care Unit, Rev. Merrill Graham and St. Paul's Reception Group, Dundas. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of one's choosing would be appreciated. The Orr family will receive friends at MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Wednesday, August 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Marlatt Dundas Chapel, Thursday, August 12 at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hamilton.
