

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Kenneth Flanagan, in his 79th year, after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband for 54 years of Susan (Johnny). Proud father of Kelly Stewart and Tammy (Jim) McMillan. Devoted grandfather of Mackenzie, Hannah (deceased), Ashlyn, Will, Andy, Cameron and Zoë. Brother of Frank (Joan), Anne, Joan (Hilding-deceased). Predeceased by siblings Donny, Joey, Daniel, Bobby, Mary, Ellen, Rosemarie, Betty; he also leaves their spouses Marie, Noreen, Carol (deceased), George, Jack, Bob and Ken. Brother-in-law of Robin (Rosslyn), Michael (Ingrid), Peter (deceased), Wayne (Peggy), Anita, Keith - deceased (Joanne), Debbie (Nick) and survived by many nieces and nephews. Tom was an employee of Sears for 35 years. Tom was a long distance runner who completed several marathons, and more recently was a volunteer Marshall at Century Pines Golf Club and Rock Chapel Golf Center. He enjoyed the exercise and friendship at the McMaster Sports Complex. He was a life long fan of the Hamilton Tiger Cats and all of the Detroit sports teams, but was the proudest supporter of the accomplishments of his grandchildren. He will be forever in our hearts. Friends will be received at the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME "Swackhamer Chapel", 195 King Street West, Dundas on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 2p.m. until 4p.m. and 6p.m. until 8p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Augustines Roman Catholic CHurch, 58 Sydenham Street, Dundas on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10 o'clock.
