William Thomas Buchanan

We are sad to announce the sudden passing of William “Bill” Thomas Buchanan at the age of 84 with his family by his side. Beloved husband and best friend to Audrey Helen. Predeceased by his son Brian (Shirley). Loving father to Cheryl (Kevin), Randy and Lori (Paul). Cherished grandfather to Bradley, Mark (Christy), Rebecca, Stephanie (Brett), Jason (Lindsay), Katie, Karen (Brett), Jennifer (Steve) and Kristie. Great-grandfather to Erin, Evan, Hayden, Tyler, Austin, Carson, Tristan and Hunter. Bill had a passion for woodworking as the owner and CEO of Wm Buchanan Ltd. & Staircase. He was a member of several service clubs and an active member of the community. Bill loved life, his family, friend’s and will be missed by all. Special thanks to the doctors and the nurses who attended to his care at St Joseph’s Hospital. Family and friends are welcome to MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE “SWACKHAMER CHAPEL”, 195 King Street West, Dundas, Ontario on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 for memorial visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a chapel service to follow at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to St Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.
