William Michael Paling

Born November 8, 1936. Surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, our loving father Bill passed away. We truly believe he is happy and healthy in heaven, reunited with many family and friends. Our dad was predeceased by his parents, John Joseph and Nell Angus Paling. He is survived by his adoring brother Mike (Sherry) Paling and his loving sister Joanne (Lyle) Wright. He is predeceased by his brothers Jack (Mary) Paling and Leo Paling, and by his sister Frances Paling. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Dad will always be remembered and cherished by his loving daughters Missy (Vic) Calcagno and Samantha Roberts. He will greatly be remembered by his grandchildren Melissa (Dustin), Matt, Olivia (Austin) and Justine, and his great-grandchildren Dustin and Ayden. Our dad is survived by his wife, Bonnie. Dad loved life and lived it to the fullest until his health prevented it. He spent his career working at Westinghouse as a P. Eng. At the end, through visits, emails and calls, his work friends were able to lift his spirits, and we learned what a mentor and great friend my dad was to his colleagues. We have planned a Celebration of Life for our father at the Air Force Club in Dundas on Saturday, November 7, from 4 until 7 p.m. We invite you to come share his life with us. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation. As your friends were saying, the combustible engine was about to burst but you fixed it your way. Dad, you will always be in our hearts, we will miss you and always know how much we loved you, and we know you loved us.
