Anthony "Squash" Merrill

Anthony has been preceded by his wife, Elinor Merrill, parents Antone P. Merrill and Florence M. Alexander Merrill.

Anthony leaves behind his children, Kevin Merrill, Keith Merrill and Theresa Bourgoin, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anthony was raised in the tight knit fishing village until adulthood. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Anthony later became a longtime resident of East Hartford, CT where he retired from the Town of East Hartford.

Anthony enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, fishing and sports. Many would agree that he had a great sense of humor and just was an all-around great man. Anthony will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

Relatives and friends may call at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford, CT. on Friday, December 6th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Burial will be private at a later date.
