Antoinette M. (Brancieri) Comer, 101, formerly of East Hartford, loving wife of the late Paul W. Comer, Sr., passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018. Born in Hartford, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Rocchina (Laraia) Brancieri. Antoinette graduated from Bulkeley High School in 1925 and lived most of her life with her husband in East Hartford. She was employed as a shipping and receiving clerk at Pratt & Whitney, retiring in 1979. Antoinette was a long time communicant of St. Christopher Church, and in her free time she thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at the East Hartford Senior Center, as well as knitting and crocheting. She is survived by her son, Paul Comer, Jr. and his wife Ann of Mount Pleasant, SC; a grandson, Bryan Comer and his wife Shelley of Colorado Springs, CO; great-grandchildren, Paul “Brady” and Abigail Comer; a sister, Eleanor Murphy of MA and several nieces and nephews. Antoinette was also predeceased by her grandson, Paul N. Comer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Christopher Campus of St. Edmund Campion Parish, 538 Brewer St., East Hartford. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. There will be no calling hours. The D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford is assisting Antoinette’s family with arrangements.
