Antonio “Tone” Valentin, 48, of East Harford, loving partner and husband of Wanda (Nazario) Valentin, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 8, 2019 from a heart condition. Born in Hartford on July 2, 1970, a son of the late Martiniano and Carmen (Rivera) Valentin, he had been a resident of East Hartford for the past fourteen years. Antonio was a graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, Class of 1989. A hardworking man, Antonio was employed as a technician by Energy Unlimited in Bolton, and worked previously for many years at UPS in Hartford as a member of the Teamsters Local 671 of Bloomfield. He was very talented at fixing anything and was known as a “handyman” for his family and friends. Antonio loved to golf, cook/grill, and socialize with family and friends. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Dallas Cowboys.
Along with his wife Wanda with whom he was together for 35 years, Antonio is survived by a daughter, Chelsea Lee Valentin of East Hartford; two sons Mark A. Valentin and Seville Valentin both of East Hartford; and three adored grandchildren, Miya Lee Camp, Morgan Riley Camp, and Cameron Camp. He also leaves two sisters, Migdalia Valentin of Hartford, Milagros Nieves and her husband, Nestor, of Hartford; two brothers-in-law, Manuel Nazario and his wife, Carmen, of Hartford, Armando Rodriguez and his wife, Marie, of New Haven; several nieces, nephews, cousins, co –workers, and dear friends.
Funeral service will be Friday (February 15th) at 11:30 am at the D’ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
