
Arthur F. Clark, 94, of East Hartford, loving husband for over 68 years to Joyce (Sheley) Clark, peacefully departed this life with his caring family by his side on Sunday (December 19, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. Born in East Hartford on April 11, 1916, a son of the late Charles and Mary (Corcoran) Clark, he had been a life-long resident of the Hartford/East Hartford areas. Arthur was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, Class of 1934B. Prior to his retirement, Arthur worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, East Hartford for 47 years, retiring as a supervisor in the Materials Department. He was a communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford and a loyal fan of the New York Yankees. He was also an avid fan of UCONN basketball, New York Giants football, and the University of Notre Dame football team. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Charles F. Clark of Hartford and Alfred Clark of West Hartford. Along with his beloved wife, Joyce, Arthur is survived by his devoted daughter, Gail Musgrave and her husband, George, of East Hartford with whom he made his home; a special grandson, Craig M. Modzelesky; two nephews, Peter Clark and his wife, Susan, of Madison, David Clark of Ellington; and several friends and former co-workers. Funeral services will be Wednesday (December 22nd) with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12 p.m. at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Wednesday. Entombment will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Mausoleum, Bloomfield. There are no calling hours.
