

Audrey (Zadrozny) Hatcher, 71, of Glastonbury, loving wife of Thomas C. Hatcher, Sr. for 52 years, passed away peacefully, Friday, (September 11, 2009) at Manchester Memorial Hospital with her devoted family by her bedside. She was born March 5, 1938 in Scranton, PA., and was the daughter of the late Bernard and Stella (Chetnick) Zadrozny. Audrey graduated from West Scranton High School, Class of 1956. She was very active throughout the State and a proud member of the Women of the Moose East Hartford Chapter 1470. She co-chaired activities for the March of Dimes, worked on Blood Drives and Hearing Screening Tests in the Town of East Hartford. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Besides her husband, Thomas, she leaves behind three sons, Thomas C. Hatcher, Jr. and his wife, Linda of Glastonbury, Timothy Hatcher and his wife, Sandra of Cromwell and Daniel P. Hatcher and his wife, Rebecca of Glastonbury, three brothers, John Zadrozny and his wife, Eileen of East Hartford, Alex Zadrozny and his wife, Jean of Naples, FL., and Henry Zadrozny and his wife, Gail of East Hartford; two sisters, Helen Palka of Manchester and Phyllis Mullock and her husband, Joseph of Hartford; nine grandchildren, Christina and Audreyanne Hatcher, Kelly Spada and her husband, Joe, Wayne Maura, Jr., Jason, Lindsay, Melissa, Corey and Kyle Hatcher; four great grandchildren, Tara Hatcher, Joey, Brandon and Sabrina Spada, a sister-in-law, Marjorie Lapowski of Scranton, PA as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Eugene Zadrozny. Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 15th at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Dunstan's Church, 1345 Manchester Road, Glastonbury. The burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Calling hours are Monday, September 14th from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
