Beatrice Stephenson (McCarthy)

Beatrice M. (McCarthy) Stephenson, 87, of East Hartford, loving wife of the late Joseph F. Stephenson entered into eternal rest with her family by her side on Saturday, (May 19, 2012). Born in Dorchester, MA on August 19, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Margaret and Charles Boudreau. Beatrice was very active with the North End Seniors; she enjoyed dancing, playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends. She worked for many years at the Central Connecticut State University Library. Beatrice is survived by her two daughters, Donna M. Brown of East Hartford, Diane Dwelley and her husband David of Windsor. She is also survived by her adored grandchildren Lucas Aviles and his wife Keyona, Timothy Brown, Felicia Brown, Asa Harvey, and Audrey Marchetti and her husband, Jason; a great-grandchild, Brena Buckaloo; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her beloved husband and parents she was predeceased by a sister, Pauline Lindsey.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, (May 23) at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may visit the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford on Wednesday morning from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association -CT Chapter, 5 Brookside Drive, P.O.
