Corrado 'cory' Capuano

Corrado 'Cory' Capuano, 86, of East Hartford, entered into eternal rest to be with Our Lord and his family on Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Born in Hartford on October 1, 1922, a son of the late Angelo and Salvatrice (Aleria) Capuano, he had been a life-long resident of East Hartford and a graduate of East Hartford High School. Prior to his retirement, Cory was employed for many years by Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford. Cory was an avid gardener, especially of vegetables, and an enthusiast follower of Astronomy. Besides his beloved parents, Cory was predeceased by a brother, Salvatore 'Sam' Capuano of Wethersfield and Cape Coral, FL. Cory is survived by a sister, Edith C. Tanasi and her husband, Sebastian 'Yano', of East Hartford; a sister-in-law, Lou Capuano of Cape Coral, FL; three nieces, Sally Ann Tanasi of East Hartford, Marcia E. Capuano of Agawam, MA, Marlane Dechene of Cape Coral, FL; a nephew, Bruce Capuano in New York; several great nieces, great nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 11, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. (Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church on Saturday morning). There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Corrado's memory may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
