Daniel Robert Buerk Sr.

Daniel “Dan” Robert Buerk Sr., 61, of East Hartford, loving husband of 39 years of the late Dierdre Buerk, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Born in Manchester to Alois “Joe” and Roberta “Lou” (Scott) Buerk, they resided in Glastonbury. He was a graduate of Glastonbury High School, class of 1979. Dan then spent over 20 years of his career as a Firefighter for the town of Glastonbury and had been an East Hartford resident for the last 33 years. In his spare time, Dan enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

Dan is survived by his three sons; Daniel Jr. and wife Kelly of Coventry, Joseph of Plainville, Matthew and wife AnnMarie of Lebanon, NH; his seven grandkids; Michaela, Gavin, Joey, Jackson, Amelia, Katherina, and Liam; and four siblings; David Buerk and wife Claire of Colchester, Paul Buerk and wife Julia of East Hartford, Michael Buerk and wife Karrie of Rocky Hill, Elizabeth Kennedy and husband Gerald of Granby.

A funeral mass for Dan will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 1 pm at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Road, East Hartford. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
