Daniel also enjoyed listening to and seeing live music, going to sporting events, the beach, and spending time with friends and family. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his ability to make everyone in the room laugh. He was a wonderful and loving father, family man, son, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his three children, Kevin, Kelsey, and Courtney Derohanian, all of Kansas City, MO, Daniel is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Derohanian of East Hartford, CT; his brother, Joseph of South Windsor, CT; his brother David, of Granby, CT; his sister, Lori Michalek and her husband Douglas of East Hartford, CT; and the mother of his children, Debbie Henegar, of Seminole, FL. Cliff and I are just devastated to hear of Danny’s passing. He was a dear friend to both of us . He always made the time to stay with us every time we vacationed in Florida ( needless to say it was always the highlight of our vacations ! )
You ALWAYS knew when Danny was in a room - all you had to do was follow where the laughter was coming from.
Danny’s wit, laughter and friendship will stay with us forever in our hearts. He was a special and wonderful guy. Always smiling and loving life.
Kevin, Kelsey and Courtney were his pride and joy and they are blessed to have had him for their Dad ...
I know that there are lots more chuckles in Heaven now because of Danny ....
but so so many broken hearts left behind ..
We will miss you more than words can say my friend.
Peace and Love until we meet again.
Your friends - Cliff and Monica

I was only privileged to have known Dan for two years while working at the golf course. We had some big fun in that short of time and with all the laughs it didn’t feel like work. God bless Dan and his family. I will never forget him.

To Danny's family. I met Danny at the golf course when he started working here. I am also from CT so we bonded soon after. He was a fun guy and we shared many memories of CT from back "in the day".

We will miss him here. So very sorry for your loss as such a young age.

Memories. One of a million. I remember the date. It was July 20th, 1969 on a Sunday evening. The world was relishing in the fact that man was landing on the moon. What a great time it was. That evening Danny and I and a few others in the neighborhood had spent the day thinking about landing on the moon. When darkness had come or close to it, we were in our backyards next door to each other as so many children in the neighborhood were. Danny and I decided to lay on our backs and look up at the moon to see if we could see the landing on the moon. We both confirmed to each other that we saw something and we convinced ourselves that we had seen the landing on the moon. Just about that time, Maryann or Charlie and my mom or dad, I don't recall, had yelled out the back door for us to come in, it was getting late. We resisted and we talked a moment longer about what a miraculous thing we had witnessed. It was one of my most memorable memories of my dear brother, Danny. I could go on forever with memories of this great man who had touched so many people in this world. I will never forget him as long as I live until the day I die. We have lost a true man of love and wealth. Peace to you, my brother.

My condolences and prayers go out to the Derohanian Family. Danny was like a father to me. He always made people laugh and always asked me "how you living, little buddy?". I looked up to him as a father, a mentor, and a friend. He was my Fathers Best Friend and would come over very often to spend time with my family. I will miss Danny at our family dinners and bbqs we would have at the house. This man knew every song and artist off the top of his head and loved playing air guitar. He loved basketball and will miss talking sports with him, especially uConn. He loved drinking Irish whiskey with my dad and jamming in the garage.... I loved hearing my dad and danny reminisce about living in East Hartford as kids. I will forever miss that. He touched so many lives in every aspect. I cant express enough how much this man has impacted my life. He was always there for my family and father. I loved this man from the bottom of my heart and will miss him very much. Until we meet again. I love you Bud.
