Daniel P. Hatcher

Daniel P. Hatcher, 52, of Glastonbury, loving husband of Rebecca (Mulraney) Hatcher, passed away unexpectedly on Monday (September 16, 2013) at his home. Born in Hartford on April 11, 1961, a son of Thomas C. Hatcher, Sr. and the late Audrey (Zadrozny) Hatcher, he had resided in Glastonbury for the past 44 years. Daniel was a graduate of Glastonbury High School, Class of 1980 and was the owner and operator of K.C. Construction Company. An active member since 1981, Dan was an Officer of the East Hartford Moose Lodge #1477 and was a donor for the American Red Cross since 1980 where he donated over four gallons of his blood. Dan also enjoyed golfing, riding Quads and Dirt-Bikes. Most of all, Dan enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was truly a family man who loved his family as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Besides his beloved wife, Rebecca, and his father, Thomas, both of Glastonbury, Dan is survived by his four children, Lindsay Hayes and her husband, Robert, of Tolland, Melissa Hatcher of Cromwell, Corey Hatcher of Cromwell, and Kyle Hatcher of Glastonbury; two brothers, Thomas C. Hatcher, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Glastonbury, Timothy Hatcher and his wife, Sandy, of Cromwell; five adored grandchildren, Tara Hatcher, Ethan Hayes, Eric Hayes, Tatum McMahon, and Amanda Hayes. He also leaves many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, customers, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 23, at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Sunday September 22, from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Daniel's name may be made to the Kyle Hatcher Education Fund, c/o Thomas C.
