Daniel H. Tilley

Daniel H. Tilley, 84, of Manchester and formerly of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2014. Daniel was the loving husband of 50 years of the late Jeanne A. (LaPlante) Tilley. Born in Van Buren, ME on July 6, 1930, a son of the late Delmont and Alexandrine (Michaud) Tilley, he had resided in East Hartford for over 30 years prior to moving to Manchester three years ago. Daniel was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a former member of the VFW Post #2083, East Hartford. Prior to his retirement he was an Electrician for many years in the Hartford area. Daniel is survived by two sons, Jack Tilley and his wife, Pam, of East Hartford, Greg Tilley of Portland; two daughters, Janice Kiernan and her husband, John, of Ponte Vedra, FL, Glenda Kearns and her husband, Bob, of New Hampshire; a brother, Frank ""Dee"" Tilley of Van Buren, ME; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Private funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangements.
