Deborah Sanderson

Deborah Sanderson, 71, of Glastonbury, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 29, 1954, in Chicopee, MA and was the daughter of the late Claude and Jane (Kuklinski) Sanderson.

Prior to retirement, Deborah was an assistant manager at the Glastonbury High School cafeteria. In her free time, you could find Deborah at a bingo hall as she was an avid bingo player. Most of all, she was a devoted life partner, mother, and grandmother.

Deborah is survived by her long-time love of her life for over the last 30 years, Michael Breen of Glastonbury; her three cherished daughters, Theresa Unterreiner of Glastonbury, Carey Unterreiner of Glastonbury, and Kelly Unterreiner of North Carolina and her four adored grandchildren, Kayla, Zack, Jack, and Evan, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind many beloved siblings, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life for Deborah will be held at a later date to be announced. Burial will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery, Glastonbury. Deborah’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Hartford Hospital, ICU, for their compassionate care of Deborah. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Deborah’s name to an organization of your choice.
