

Denise M. Trani, age 75, of Glastonbury, CT, passed away peacefully with her loving daughter and granddaughter by her side on June 20, 2026, after a courageous nine-month battle with an aggressive form of cancer.
Denise was born on October 13,1950 in Hartford, CT to the late John R. Trani and Helene M. Trani (Mochon). Denise grew up in East Hartford, CT, one of seven siblings, where she eventually settled for many years as an adult to raise a family of her own. She worked as a floral designer for over 25 years until her retirement, a profession for which she was naturally gifted. Denise is survived by her son, Adam Brown and his wife Hilary, and her daughter, Helene Brown; three grandchildren, Taryn Wilcox, Lachlan Brown and Bonnie Brown; and her beloved dog, Cathy Flowers. Denise was recently predeceased by her best friend of 40 years, Karon Ganatchian.
Denise was known for her firm faith in Christ, deep love for her family, gift of creativity, boundless generosity, and innate ability to always make others feel comfortable and genuinely happy. She found great joy in the simple things in life and thoroughly enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee and good conversation. She treasured her time with her children and grandchildren and was happiest when watching movies with them till the wee hours of the morning or baking sweets, laughter always present. Denise will always be remembered for her smile and unwavering positivity no matter where life took her. She was known to devotedly quote Romans 8:28: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Funeral services for Denise will be held at the convenience of the family. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the arrangements.
