Dennis Cormier

Dennis Laurie Cormier, 72, let go of his earthly struggles and passed away peacefully at his home in East Hartford with his sister Linda Warburton by his side after battling Alzheimer’s and dementia. He was born on March 20, 1954, and was the son of the late Herve and Beverly (Cooney) Cormier. Dennis was a lifelong resident of East Hartford and graduated from George J. Penney High School, class of 1974.

Prior to retirement, Dennis was an ironworker, carpenter, and had many other jobs. In his free time, he enjoyed watching Western shows and was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his son Dennis Mathew Cormier Jr., his daughter Amanda Brown and his sister Linda Warburton with whom he made his home.

A celebration of life will be Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 pm located at First Church of Christ, 2183 Main Street, Glastonbury (the chapel is on the left as you pull into the church driveway from Main Street).
