Diane L. ( Richard ) Blain

Diane L. (Richard) Blain, 50, of East Shore Drive, East Haddam, wife of Mark D. Blain, died Wednesday (October 31, 2007) at Middlesex Memorial Hospital in Middletown. Born in La Reine, Quebec, Canada, she was the daughter of France and Marie Jeanne (Fougere) Richard of East Hartford and has lived in East Haddam for the past 23 years. Diane and Mark, who were married on August 8 1981, recently celebrated their 26th anniversary. Diane was employed as a bookkeeper for M&J Auto Recycling Inc. of Colchester. Diane enjoyed yoga classes. Besides her husband and parents she is survived by two daughters, Jennifer D. Blain of East Hartford, and Sarah M. Blain of East Haddam; a brother, David Richard of East Hartford; three sisters, Nicole Cangemi and her husband Charles of Middletown, Rose Dudgeon and her husband James of New Britain, and Donna O'Brien and her husband Shawn of Naugatuck; a grandson, Alexander; her mother-in-law, Carol Blain of East Hartford; two brothers-in-law, Michael Blain and his wife Karen of Somers, and William Blain and his wife Robin of Ft. Meyers, FL; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Roux of Plymouth. She was predeceased by a brother Bernard Richard and her father-in-law Maurice Blain. Funeral will be Monday at 9 a.m. from D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, Cambridge Drive, East Hartford. Burial will be at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
