November 4, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Born in Hartford on April 27, 1949, a son of the late Dominic and Maria (Lehneis) Tierinni, he had been a lifelong resident of East Hartford. Dominic was a graduate of George J. Penney High School in East Hartford, class of 1967. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, who volunteered to serve his country during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his retirement, Dominic was employed for over forty years at a variety of telecommunications including BSL Communications in Wallingford. He was also the previous co-owner of the former Video Showcase of East Hartford on Main Street.
A devout catholic, he was a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in East Hartford. In his free time, he enjoyed karate, watching movies, painting with his father and brothers, traveling (especially to Lake Winnipesaukee, NH) and to Germany. He collected German Beer Steins and had an extensive Disney collection. He also looked forward to his traditional Octoberfest at the East Side Restaurant in New Britain. He was a Tom Brady fan and loved watching the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed having a glass of wine or his special shot of sambuca with family and friends.
Most of all, Dominic was a gentleman, who was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother. He cherished his time spent with his entire family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who are lucky enough to know him.
