Edward N. ""Eddie"" Landry, Jr., 44, of Glastonbury and formerly of East Hartford, took his final ride on Monday (January 2, 2012). Born in Bristol on February 17, 1967, a son of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Grip) Landry, he had resided in East Hartford for several years prior to being a resident of New Britain and Glastonbury. He was a graduate of New Britain High School, Class of 1985 and was employed as a truck driver for many years at area construction and paving companies. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and being with his club brothers of the James Gang Motorcycle Club, but most of all he loved being a devoted and dedicated father to his two children. Eddie leaves behind his two adored children, son, Edward Landry and daughter, Lauren Landry both of Glastonbury; three sisters, Ann Downes of Springfield, MA, Ronnette Martin of East Hartford, Michelle Tobolski of Springfield, MO; his girlfriend, Jodi D'Onofrio of Glastonbury; many cousins, nieces, nephews, dear friends and fellow brothers of the James Gang Motorcycle Club. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, James E. Onze of New Britain.
Funeral services will be Friday (January 13th) at 7 p.m. at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Friday evening from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eddie's name may be made to Bikers Against Animal Cruelty, P.O.
