Edward T. Rago

Edward T. Rago, 79, lifelong resident of East Hartford, loving husband of the late Biruta “Bette” Draugelis of over 44 years passed away peacefully on May 27, 2021. Born in Hartford on April 8, 1942 he was the son of the late Francis and Nellie (Sakalouski-Novak) Rago. Edward was a quiet and humble man you honorably served with the United States Army. In his spare time he enjoyed watching NASCAR as well as the New York Giants and the Boston Red Sox. Edward is survived by his adored daughter Melissa Bryk and her husband Daniel of Bolton and his son Anthony and his fiancé Jennifer of Hartford. Edward also leaves behind his brothers Nicolas, Francis and Michael.

Edward is predeceased by his beloved son Edward T. Rago Jr.

Family and friends may call on Friday June 4th from 11-12pm at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery in East Hartford.
