Elizabeth Betty"" (Curran) Wennerberg

Elizabeth ""Betty"" (Curran) Wennerberg, 89, of East Hartford, peacefully went to join her husband, Arthur, in Heaven on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Born in Glastonbury on February 6, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Hennegan) Curran, she had resided in East Hartford for most of her life. Betty was a graduate of East Hartford High School, Class of 1945. She was an avid reader who also liked gardening, needle-point, and grocery shopping. Most of all, Betty was a proud grandmother who cherished her time with her grandchildren and family members. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 45 years, Arthur W. Wennerberg; a brother, Richard Curran of East Hartford; and a sister, Mary Bartlett of Manchester. Betty is survived by her five devoted daughters, Linda Daugherty and her husband Dennis of Enfield, Nancy McGuiness and her husband Robert of St. Augustine, FL, Karen Aronne and her husband James of East Hartford, Lois Moschetto and her husband James of East Hartford, and Lori Glover of East Hartford. She also leaves thirteen special grandchildren; eleven adored great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A memorial service celebrating Betty's life will be Saturday (February 27, 2016) at 12:30 pm at D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Saturday from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
