Faustino Ayala

Faustino “Tinte” “Tony” Ayala, 85, of East Hartford, peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Born on August 2, in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Ambrosio and Justina (Perez) Ayala.

Prior to his retirement, Faustino dedicated 27 years of service as a warehouse worker with Coca-Cola. In Faustino’s younger years he was a boxer and enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees but also loved watching boxing. Above all, Faustino will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and cherished friend whose kindness and love for his family touched the lives of all who knew him.

Faustino is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 61 years, Amparo (Baez) Ayala of East Hartford; his three sons, Peter Ayala and his wife Marilyn of Florida, Edgar Ayala of East Hartford and his girlfriend Kerry Belch, Alexis Ayala and girlfriend Clarissa Vargas of East Hartford; and his six cherished grandchildren, Samantha, Alexia, Gabriel, Xavier, Chelsea, and Lilly. He also leaves behind his brother, Isidro Ayala; his sister, Mary Ayala; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Faustino’s life on July 24th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery in East Hartford. Calling hours will be held the evening prior, on (July 23rd, 2026), from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
