
Felicia Maria (Scavetta) Esposito, 93, of East Hartford and Glastonbury, peacefully entered into eternal life on Wednesday, (August 13, 2008) at the Glastonbury Health Care Center. Felicia was the loving wife of the late John J. Esposito. Born in Hartford on February 15, 1915, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Marie (DiBase) Scavetta, she had been a resident of East Hartford for most of her life. Felicia was a well-known seamstress in the area and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and playing bingo. Felicia was a gentle woman who touched everyone's life that she came in contact with, as she was a ""Mother to many"". Felicia leaves a brother, John Scavetta of Hartford; three grandchildren, Ruth Ann Alm and Art, Harry Alm, John Alm and his wife Cindy; sister, Marie Mancini and her husband John; several great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; a niece, Maureen; many other nieces and nephews; and a friend Mary Hickman. Besides her beloved husband and parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Katherine Marie Alm; a sister, Mary Simonelli; four brothers, Anthony, Albert, Frank, and Lawrence Scavetta. Funeral services will be Monday, August 18, at 9 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Burial will be at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery (Section R), Bloomfield.
