
Florence T. (Genlot) Foley, 81, of Manchester, loving wife of John J. Foley, entered into eternal life on Sunday, (March 15, 2009) at Hartford Hospital with her caring family by her side. Born in Hartford on September 10, 1927, a daughter of the late Henry F. and Marie (McCabe) Genlot, she had resided in West Hartford for most of her life and had resided in the Manchester area for the past several years. Florence was a graduate of William Hall High School in West Hartford, Class of 1945. Florence was a devoted wife and proud mother and grandmother who enjoyed reading, baking, and doing needlepoint. Along with her beloved husband, John, of fifty-seven years, Florence is survived by three sons, John J. Foley, Jr. and his wife, Shelley, of Raleigh, NC, Christopher M. Foley and his wife, Paula, of South Windsor, James H. Foley and his wife, Karin, of South Windsor; a daughter, Lynne T. Foley of Manchester; seven special grandchildren, Marissa Foley, Andrew Foley, Kaitlyn Foley, Kyle Foley, Christopher Foley, Patrick Foley all of South Windsor, and Charlotte Foley of Raleigh, NC; several nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by two grandsons, Ryan Foley and Matthew Foley both of South Windsor. Funeral services will be Wednesday (March 18th) at 9 a.m. from the D'ESOPO-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Road, South Windsor. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
