

Francis “Frank” Rondinone, 86, of East Hartford, loving husband to Marilyn (Armstrong) Rondinone, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, July 5, 2024. Born in Hartford on March 1, 1938, Frank was the son of the late Rocco and Josephine (DiGiglio) Rondinone. Frank was a graduate of Weaver High School, Hartford, class of 1956 where he played football. After high school, Frank enlisted to the Air National Guard where he served our country for six years. Frank and Marilyn settled down in East Hartford to raise their family. Prior to retirement, Frank was the owner and operator of his machinist company called RONCO Manufacturing. Frank had a passion for playing his accordion, which happened daily. In his free time he enjoyed watching NASCAR, firework displays, and his annual trips to Aruba with his wife. Most of all, Frank was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Along with his wife, Frank leaves behind his three children; Michael Rondinone and wife Michelle of South Windsor, Carole Audibert and husband Augie of Coventry, and Karen Cersoli and husband John of Barkhamsted. Seven grandchildren; Jenna, Meghan, and Andrew Audibert, Billy and Emily Curtis, and Marissa and Kyle Rondinone. Along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Frank was predeceased by his siblings; Joseph Rondinone, James Rondinone, Nicolina Carola, Angelina Sinnott and Jennie Bucchi.
A funeral service to honor Frank’s life will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 11:30 am at the D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St. East Hartford. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10 – 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frank’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
