George F. Lamprecht, 73, of East Hartford, beloved husband for 48 years of Marion (Muttart) Lamprecht, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Born in Hartford on June 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Daniel Lamprecht, Sr. and Marion (Bates) Lamprecht. George was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War. While in the Navy, he was a member of the 1st Nuclear Task Force to circumnavigate the globe and served on the first nuclear cruiser, the USS Bainbridge. George worked for many years for Travelers Insurance Company. He served as a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts Troop 60 and Pack 60 in East Hartford. A loving husband, father and grandfather, George will be forever missed by his devoted wife Marion; two sons, Ray Lamprecht and wife Kate and Brandon Lamprecht, all of East Hartford and his three adored grandchildren who brought him so much joy; Sally, Brayden, George. He is also survived by his brother, James Lamprecht, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by three brothers; Daniel Jr., Richard and Jack Lamprecht.
Funeral services will be Friday (August 31) at 12:30 pm at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Burial in Silver Lane Cemetery with full military honors will be on Tuesday, September 4th at 10:00 am. Family and friends may call on Friday morning prior to the service, from 10 am-12:30 pm.
