Gerard L. Nadeau, Jr. lovingly known as “Jerry” and/or “Doc”, 82 of East Hartford, peacefully passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was born November 30, 1942 in Brunswick, ME, son to the late Gerard Sr. and Margaret (Schlitly) Nadeau. Jerry is the loving husband of 63 years to Juanita “Nita” (Sanders) Nadeau. They married, and moved from California to Maine after five years, spending two years in Maine then relocating to Connecticut, residing in East Hartford for the last 56 years. Doc’s skills as an engine mechanic in the Air Force were instrumental in his being hired by Pratt & Whitney to build jet engines. Doc enjoyed spending time with his family.
Along with Juanita, Jerry will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his daughter, Melissa Ann in Florida; his brother, Richard in Lisbon Falls, ME; and his four grandsons, Walter Hale Jr., Jefferson, Drew, and Christopher Kingman, all in CT. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tina Marie Nadeau and a brother, Maurice Nadeau.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. The D’Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford, has been entrusted with the arrangements. To share a memory of Jerry, please visit www.desopoeh.com
