

Harriet F. (Klucewicz) Roe, 92, of East Hartford, loving wife of the late James E. Roe, peacefully entered into eternal life on Tuesday (July 6, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Hartford on October 21, 1917, a daughter of the late Michael and Eleanor (Lazowski) Klucewicz, she had been a life-long resident of East Hartford. Harriet was a long-time faithful communicant of St. Rose Church, East Hartford and loved taking care of her flower gardens. However most of all, Harriet was a proud wife and mother, who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Along with her beloved husband and parents, Harriet was predeceased by two brothers, Walter Klucewicz of Vernon, and Stanley Klucewicz of East Hartford. Harriet is survived by her two caring sons, Robert E. Roe and his wife, Audrey, of Bradenton, FL and Alan M. Roe and his wife, Joanna, of South Windsor; her four special grandchildren, Christine Rachwal, Dawn Marie Roe, Patricia Ann Roe, and Michael Roe; two adored great-grandchildren, Caylie Rachwal and Conner Rachwal. She also leaves a brother, Edward Klucewicz of Manchester; a sister, Helen Cook of Alexandria, VA; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Funeral services will be Saturday (July 10, 2010) leaving at 9:30 a.m. from the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Church, One Community Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery (Section P), Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Saturday morning from 8:30 -9:30 am.
