
Jonas ""John"" Kozikis, 80, of East Hartford, loving husband of Carmela ""Millie"" Kozikis, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, (May 21, 2011) at his home. Born in Lithuania on Feb. 19, 1931, a son of the late Karolis and Eva (Svelnyte) Kozikis, he had been a resident of East Hartford for many years. Prior to his retirement, John was employed as a woodworker in the Manchester/Glastonbury area. Besides his beloved wife of 56 years, John is survived by his daughter, Rose Parker and her husband, Arthur, of East Hartford; three sons John Kozikis and his fiancée, Connie, of East Hartford, James Kozikis and his wife, Jennifer, of West Suffield, and Paul Kozikis and his fiancée, Julie, of Manchester. ten special grandchildren, Bill, Jenn and her husband John, Ken, Leeann, Jeff, Joshua, Jessica, Christina, Heather, and Sarah; four adored great-grandchildren, Christopher, Kenneth, Justin, and Jason. Along with his parents, John was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Frank Kozikis. Funeral services will be Wednesday (May 25) at 10:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Burial will follow at Buckland Cemetery, Tolland Turnpike, Manchester. John's family will receive relatives and friends TODAY from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home chapel.
